NIC MAPS:

gis.nic.in/nicmaps/index.html A voluminous spatial inventory has been developed at NIC for the entire country. This data set has been conptualised in the form of precomposed tiled MAPs. "NICMAPS" is a GIS Web Service comprising of Seamless Country wide Base maps,Satellite images and Hybrid Maps and rendered jointly with external services such as Google,Bing and ESRI etc. A robust framework based on Service oriented architecture provides ease of Indian data viewing alongwith the external contents through Global services.
