Some says that reading comics boost imagination and creativity while some others argue that it promote hostility. What you think? Is our library need more comics ?

I think comics or graphic novels as they are called these days is a great way to read, in fact many publishers have started creating classics in the form of comics. We all grew up reading comics and enjoyed them at every phase of our lives be it the Archies or the Amar Chitra Katha's or the Super heroes. Personally, i think if one is reading - any form is good enough. Soon we will be reading ebooks on epapers -- being open minded about types is better. we could worry about content but thats a different matter

Comic books do not only develop reading ability but help students visualize more the facial expressions, feelings, actions the graphics portray. They will understand more the meaning of words even as simple as "ouch", oh!, WOW!, ha ha ha. However dealing with international mindedness, I believe we have to screen comic books that comes in to our Library. Let other comic books reach them at home. I LOVE COMICS!!!!!

Yes,we should be screen comics. Now, i work in university library. We can acquire some comics for Children World Collection (but in a small room). Everyday i saw my graduate students read those books for relaxing, ... and i loves comics too.

Yes i feel that comics should be part of library collection sp junior library, as a librarian my job is to inculcate reading habit, and if children love to read comics there is no harm i feel classics should be made available in comic form which children can relate to but the quality of illustration should be good.,
